Synapse began as a simple idea. Founder and CEO Alexander Jones worked for over five years as a freelancer. He also worked for design studios, from new startup companies to one of the top studios in the southeastern United States. He worked on projects for high profile clients, small businesses, large multinational organizations, and everything in between. Despite being successful in his endeavors, he wanted something different. He wanted to create an environment where creativity and innovation was paramount to every task. He believed that each client’s project should be an opportunity for experimentation and growth. Based on this guiding principle, he founded Synapse Design Studio.

Synapse does not follow a set pattern of design and development. We have a methodology yes, and a process we go through. However this is all based around experimentation and innovation, leaving room constantly to grow. We adjust our plans to each client’s specific needs. No two projects are the same, and thus no two of our clients are handled in the same way. There are many web design/development companies who follow a cookie cutter pattern, churning out many sites that might be acceptable, but not creative and unique. We try our best to avoid the ‘assembly line’ mentality.
Every project begins with communication. We have a design call to discern the client's preferences, stylistically and structurally, as well as functionally. Once we are confident we have a solid understanding of the client's vision we begin to design. Brainstorming is integral to our creative process, and we will often bounce ideas and concepts off each other and with the client as well.
Each project goes through several stages. While we evolve and change with every client’s needs, our projects usually follow a simple life cycle. Brainstorming, design, development, launch, and post launch updates are just a few of the stages the project will go through.
Throughout the creative process we focus on ingenuity and creativity. We will not release a project with the Synapse Design Studio name unless we are confident it is of the highest quality and originality possible.
